Connect with Others

We offer many small group gatherings as a way for our congregation to connect, learn about each other, and feel a sense of community. Below is a list of the different current groups meeting on a regular basis.

Buddhist Meditation

This group is open to all and meets Friday afternoons at 1:30. The sitting begins with a short introduction or guided meditation and moves into sacred silence. A brief sharing time allows group members to express the thoughts on the process. (This group is currently on hiatus while we arrange a new meeting place.)

Circles of 8

These groups are designed for spiritual connections, food and fun. Each circle will be a social gathering of 8 people combined with a book group. After joining a group, you’ll meet with the same people once a month for 3 months. Signups are now underway for the Summer 2015 groups, which will read the book, “Living Buddha, Living Christ,” by Thich Nhat Hanh. Contact us for more information.

Men’s Groups

The men’s group meets on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7 pm in homes of various participants. Their mission is to support one another in authentic sharing and to explore common themes that emerge from their interactions. The facilitation rotates on a voluntary basis. There is limited space in the current group, but new groups will be opened as needed. Contact us for more information.

Prayer Circle

Join us any Monday evening at 5:00 at The Havurah for our prayer circle, led by trained chaplains. Enter by the side door at the back of the building. Here you’ll experience a loving, supportive connection with others who create a sacred space, filled with affirmative prayer.
