Rev. Norma Nakai Burton
“Be who you are!” It’s a rather inane concept. Of course you are who you are. You are who you are because everyone else is already taken. But if it’s so simple, then why do we spend so much of our lives trying to be who we’re not? Trying to be like someone else. Or trying to be the someone that someone else thinks, or wants, or makes us to believe we should be? In the words of May Sarton’s poem: why do we spend so much of our lives “dissolved and shaken, wearing other peoples’ faces?” To be who we are, who we were born to be, is no easy task.
“To Thine Own Self Be True….
then thou canst be false to no man.”

She was called to be true to herself despite the cost and now is
standing before the world as a model of living her authentic life.
The world needs you to keep moving along into being more and more of who you really are. Come learn some TOOLS for living your most authentic life.
